Hi there 👋. You’ve reached the website of Rebecca, a swimmer, musician, photographer, marketer, and philanthropist. I'm building a brand called KappaPay with big ambitions to change how Africans move their money in, out, and around the continent, starting in Cameroon. I chose to do it because of the sheer challenge of it, the difference that it would make if our team succeeds, and the staggering learning curve.

I shoot with a Leica D-Lux 7, an inconspicuous, power-shot type camera. Nature and people are inexhaustible subjects, and this camera does each equal justice. Rather than go to the places where everyone else goes, I let my camera drag me along to less spoiled wonderlands. Sometimes I search where there is political turmoil, sometimes in the remote countryside, and sometimes right where I live.

When traveling, I look for fellow adventurers, those who aren't afraid to, in the words of Rilke, encourage their angels to "rip them out of their moulds." I listen to their stories.

When investing, I turn to Kiva. I’ve created a first-of-its-kind auto-lending program for when I’m no longer here, so my investments have a multiplier effect in perpetuity. This ensures the wealth I accrue during my life belongs to those who I will never know, who could never pay me back. This is the definition of generosity. Someone explained it to me once. There hasn’t been a single day since then that I haven’t thought of it.
